I would like to say it was fun to find out about the Treaty. It was a great experience to me and my group (Elana and Mackenzie). I want to do it again, but not right this second or minute... but soon. I learnt what Pirongia was called before and who it was named after. It's awesome that I know more of my heritage.
I am a year 6 student at Pirongia School in Pirongia, New Zealand. I am in Room 9 and my teacher is Mrs Strathern.

BLOOD!
Bang! A tray slammed down upon a desk. One slide of a heart. I sat staring at the blood oozing out on to the tray. Ben pointed to the parts of the heart. I wanted to squish it. Then came the kidneys. They were strange on the inside.

NOT THE RIGHT WAY

This is my koru art it represents strength and looking after others.
The colours represent Kiwi House, which is yellow. I've also used the colours blue for the outer ring.

Yellow is the sun that shines up high.
It’s the middle of a flower.
It’s the petals on a sun flower that shines in the sun.
It’s the bee’s main colour .
It’s the giraffe long neck and legs.
It’s the cheetah’s pros and back.
It’s the fish that are swimming in the coral.
And more animals.
I think we sometimes we need to leave it alone.
